Welcome to the Belchford Pumpkin Festival 2013
The Belchford Pumpkin Festival will be held on October 19th and 20th,2013 .Belchford is situated in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This is the second time the Pumpkin Festival has been held in the church and all funds raised will be used for the upkeep of the church and the local community.We are hoping that everyone will enter into the spirit by carving a pumpkin and displaying it in the church.
The weekend will commence on the Saturday evening with a candlelight display of pumpkins in the church.This will be a ticketed event with wine and themed food for the adults. Tickets available from Bob on 01507 533454 or Marilyn 01507 533734. Adults £5 and children £1. Adults £6 on the door.
Sunday will continue with the harvest festival in the morning and then the church will be open from 11am.
There will be competitions for the heaviest or largest pumpkin, best carved pumpkins and art competitions for the younger children who cannot wield a knife!
For the first time this year there will be a scarecrow competition open to all. This will be a mini scarecrow competition size 2 foot 6" maximum open to all. Entry forms available on line or from Horncastle Hobby House, 25 North Street, Horncastle.
Pumpkins are now available from Robert Ward Plants and Baskets, Main Road, Belchford .£1.50 each all proceeds to the church funds.
There will be refreshments and fine food stalls galore!
